Systems Approach To Training

One of the essential requirements of an effective and efficient training system is a model on which training, management decisions, training design and development can be based. The model developed to meet the training needs of most organisations uses a systems methodology and is cyclical in nature. A simplified version of this model is broken into five iterative phases:

   1.   A Needs and Occupational Analysis
   2.   Design
   3.   Development
   4.   Implementation
   5.   Evaluation

VID provides consultation during each stage of training model process to ensure the client is satisfied with the progress and direction of content being developed. The above diagram illustrates the simplified form and highlights the continuous improvement that underpins each stage of the model.

VID can also employ the Agile Learning Design Approach ideal for refreshing or evolving entrenched or existing training where this approach can be an effective alternative to the more traditional Design and Development methods .
